TOP 10 Hair Myths

1. Cutting your hair makes it stronger or grow faster.
Its hair, not a lawn. Probably related to the observation of men's facial hair. Hair on the head and facial hair have different properties. Cutting the hair will only make it shorter and hairs grows almost exactly half an inch per month.

2. Split ends can be repaired.
Nnot true. Split ends cannot be repaired and should be cut off immediately or they will split yet higher and do yet more damage.

3. Brushing your hair is good for it.
Brushing your hair is very very very bad for your hair and the leading contributor to split ends and hair breakage. By all means groom your hair, but once it is in place, STOP.

4. Tight hats cause baldness.
This one probably started in the military where young men entering the service were required to wear hats and soon showed signs of going bald, or at least of hair thinning. This is due to coincidental timing. The age that young men enter the military is also the same age that male pattern hair loss begins. This is due to dihydrotestosterone, not hats. Hats do cause hair breakage and to a lessor degree to split ends.

5. Hair can turn gray or white over night.
What utter nonsense. This one was born in literature. What part of "fiction" did you not understand? Hair receives its color genetically and can only turn gray or white over very long periods of time. Actually the hair doesn't turn white in as much as the hair loses color, but not over night, or even a wild weekend.

6. Pluck one gray hair and two grow back.
Folks, if this were true I would be pulling my hair out by the fist full. I need more hair and can always color the gray hair.

7. Baldness is inherited from the mothers side of the family.
More Hair Voodoo. Male and female pattern hair loss can be inherited from either side of the family and may or may not skip many generations. Male pattern hair loss usually begins at age 18 to 20 and female patter hair loss between ages 45 and 55.

8. Dandruff is caused by dry scalp.
Dandruff and dry scalp are two entirely different things. A good shampoo and conditioner will take care of the dry scalp, which is 'flaking'. Dandruff shampoos such as "Head and Shoulders' are entirely unnecessary and inadvisable. Dandruff is a serious health issue and requires medical attention and prescribed medication. The 'flakes' are actually oily, not dry. Very very few people have actual dandruff and you would know it if you did.

9. Dandruff is contagious.
No. You already have the micro organism that causes dandruff, yours just aren't as active. On the other hand, there are plenty of nasty things you can get from someone else's comb or brush, so be careful.

10. Cutting your hair during a full moon makes it grow in healthier, fuller, faster or longer.
Give me a break. I am not even going to dignify this one with an explanation. Hey, if you buy into this type of earth muffin drivel, by all means, mark the dates on your calendar.

Well you know how many people say big people are clumsy and more to the introvert way of life... Which I find not true but somehow or rather if you were to talk about those you read in story books they of course do potray such incidences... They have scenarios whereby the BIG people become a clown and being laughed at by the Oh-So-Skinny People... It might be fun to them but certainly not to me.....

It is sometime a disgrace when you have all those skinny people who still think they are fat who loves to look down on BIG people while comparing themselves to bigger people... Well in this statement I must say, "I am one of those BIG people...."

I must say at certain times I am quite affected by the thought of being BIG and sometimes I get discouraged by the silly little comments which they will in turn say....

"Erm... Don't be mad ah... I'm not referring to you..."

Oh come on lah.... Don't give us that pathetic excuse... Doesn't that excuse indirectly meant US.... Or should they better put it....

"I know you're BIG but I wasn't referring to you...."

It's you guys who turn us to be a pessimistic.... It's you guys who makes us feel that we're not the IN-CROWD... and it sometimes hurt...

From today onwards I have a goal to achieve... A goal that I've always put aside and thought wasn't so important... But I'll try to do something about it... With much determination and effort I'll put in I'm sure one day I'll succeed...

NEWS UPDATES

So I did went to the hospital that very night... it seems that he's not getting any better...
He even have to wear a P!@#$%^....
How sad I know... But Alhamdulillah he still recognizes me...

He was lying on the bed and I was holding on to he's hands and then he told me...
"Sara datuk sakit lah... Aper macam ni kalau sakit...."

I was on the verge of tears but of course finally I faced down and cried...
Then I start thinking of my future... One day I'll grow old and be as sick as him... And whatever happens I want my family close to me... That's the only last thing I pray for....

He's not getting much better and Auntie told me that he's already tahan so much pain and he's psychologist said that he's already thinking of suicide and the main cause for all this is TOO MUCH STRESS... I pity him... You know one day you get old and sick and you have no one to talk to about your pain and everybody's busy with their own life... Being LONELY is the first thing that will haunt yourself....

I'm scared... At present I don't even have the time to sit down with my family or go on family outing... I'm scared if I turn old and grey they won't care about me as much and I'll be left all alone and die on my bed alone... Such a sad ending....

Holiday at I can't remember
ME under my Datuk's KETIAK...

I almost drop them tears when I heard that he was in the hospital... and can't even move a lot and having trouble doing he's business... I was so sad... But of course I didn't cry in front of my sis okay... I have that teeny weeny little bit of EGO in me... Duuhh...

You see ever since I was a kid... I was so pampered by my Grand-Daddy... He was a very nice old man... I still remember when I was a kid... he would carry me and make me sit on top of those latches close to our corridor... That explains why I'm not so afriad of heights although a bit lah afraid....

I still remembered a year ago he got sick... The first name he called according to my Granny and Auntie was my name.. "Sara mana?? Sara mana?? Bila nak hantar datuk pergi hospital... Datuk sakit..." How can I not cry... When I think of it...

You know I feel so sad... My sister said that he's nerves are wearing thin and no chances of recovering... He's neurosurgeon said that if he's nerves gets OH-So-Thin... he might just snap the only thing left is of course OPERATION but since he's 83 he's not fit anymore to undergo any surgery... I am so afraid... Then the doctor said that if there isn't any chances of recovering there isn't any point making him stay in the hospital... But once he's out they can get a welfare worker to stay with him and look after him....

Then they say he'll die slowly...slow slow slowly... I'm going to meet him tonight... and we'll see how it goes... I'm so afraid...

So today seems to be a good day to share my Birthday Celebration....

Well kalau nak tahu... Me and the boyfy planned for a 3days 2 night stay at Pasir Ris Costa Sands chalet.... Then upon checking in ... was so happy we got 2 pairs of complimentary tickets to the theme park... So save sikit tak yah waste money and pay....

So on the birthday itself at 1plus in the afternoon we started our journey... Wanted to take the easy easy ride first... So we went to this Haunted house.... Which was so not SERAM... Because we were the last couple at the end of the queue so.... The front guys experience the HANTU's first then we just got the leftovers lah... Because as soon as we heard them screaming we were already prepared I tell you... Prepared for the worst lah konon nyer... But of course tak seram and why I say that... I didn't had any nightmares lah... Duhh....

Then once done with that we took the viking.... Which scared the hell out of me and the boyfriend... But was just wondering how come the rest tak pekik pun... We were the only couple and I was the only one with the eyes closed... Of course.. Duhh... It was so SCARY I must say...

So si pengecut-pengecut ni thought okay lah we take something basic first lah then we go intermediate level... So we took one baby ride which proves otherwise... Arrghhh.. One of the most scary baby rides.... Although the rollercoaster is a small one and kalau jatuh pun less than 2 metres tall... oh... punyer lah laju and so scary sia... Cannot help it lah.... Kecik-kecik Cili padi betul lah...


This ride was okay okay only... In that bold thing there's 2 couple seat... But instead of sitting like couples.. My boyfriend occupied one couple seat and I occupied another couple seat which resulted in me being shifted from left end of the seat to the right end of the seat when that thing started to pusing and pusing and pusing.... I must say... this is okay... not so thrilling lah



This is the crazy ride... That made my boyfriend cried like a little girl... Of course he didn't cry lah... As soon as we got out of the ride... He said I'm not going to take any more rides... I've had enough... Cheh.... But this I like... THis is quite fun and thrilling I tell you I feel like my body going to drop out of that seat any moment sia.... Aiyoh...


Then of course the Superman ride... This one quite fun lah... But you guys should try the one at Genting Highlands... More FUN and more GEREK and more THRILLING.... It's a must TRY okay... The one in singapore is for you to only relek-relek only.... Not so thrilling more to relaxing...


Then of course the GO-KART... Quite cool ah.... That guy in the picture with me teaching me how to drive a Go-Kart... cheh.. Of course I know lah.... hehehe.... GREEN for GO and RED for STOP... See I clever one lah....

SO after enjoying the day playing all these rides... went back to the chalet... Had a long nice bath.. Actually not so long lah... A short one followed by make up.... I was all alone when I did my make up cause Bee went to pick up Ahmad... My Poly Bestie...

So once he arrived had that party thing... See all my friends.. looking at my cute little cake...



heheh.. All CHinese... my only guess who is malay is Ahmad and Warni....

Then of course the most sweetest birthday present ever that I've received was a frame with a picture that reminds me of the past... We were so good friends in the past... Shikin and me use to be shopping buddies... Despite the fact that she used to be a Minah Surfer in the past and me a student... and what we wear are completely different from each other...

Khairul aka my Boo, Faizal and Jali... So both Faizal and Jali are attached... and that's a picture of the 3 of us.....While Khairul didn't have any... and then thru one of my poly friends... I was introduced to my Boo and we got together.... But my love story was not a personal love story... Everyone know about it and everyone wanted to be a part of it... Checking out asking me how I feel about my Boo and all sorts of stupid question lah... So difficult to answer.....

But I must say my Boo was a romantic person... Thanks to he's friend lah... He decided 3 years ago on 20th September 2003 to be my boyfriend and he asked me that you know........ question... while were on one of those boats at Clarke Quay.... See so romantic right... But I turned him down.. ehehehe.... Jahat eh.... So naughty ah...

But of course we got together on Children's Day.. Awee....

Argghh... Makes me feel SO OLD... Cannot believe it...

I shan't talk too much about the party I had... But I must say the most memorable part of the whole thing was taking time off and spending time with me boyfriend... It was so sweet....

It makes me understand my boyfriend better and also makes me oh-so-not-stop thinking of our next vacation together... I'm planning LANGKAWI.... You know why I chose this place... because I like the beach and the sea and the sand while my boyfriend loves the myths and legends...

Well my boyfriend loves all this myths and legends and then once we start talking about it we just can't stop... Like for example you know the burung GARUDA... My boyfriend told me that it's on this earth and still sleeping and one day when dunia kiamat it's going to wake up from it's sleep...and guess what it's so big that one of it's wing can cover the whole of Indonesia....

I have no idea whether it's the truth or not... But if i'm not wrong it is stated in our Holy Book that one day when dunia kiamat this burung GARUDA will wake up from it's sleep...

So it's finally the eve of the BIG 2-1....
Can't believe it... I'm at home now and just preparing some stuff for later....

Later on when bee comes home from work... He'll drop by my place then we shall go shopping for the BBq stuff and then go collect the keys for the chalet....

We were planning the whole night to watch DVDs that we bought from JB... All ceriter momok-momok.... So quite scared but at the same time must be fun.... Can't wait can't wait can't wait... Argghhh...

This is the Story of My Life

Today finally it's my off day... And of course tomorrow i'm back to work again and the day after is work again.... then come the specialzzz day....

I was thinking... of writing about me... so before i turn 21.......

This is the story of my life....

My name is Sahara Melissa...I have people calling me Sara, Melissa, Mel, Lis and many more...
I was born on the 16th of September 1985 and I'm the 2nd in the family....

I must say I was born out of a normal family and leading a normal life....I'm most pampered by my Tok Osman Janggut hehehe... and of course my parents are the most strictest parent's ever which scared the hell out of my friends.... Till date I don't dare bring any of my friends close to them except for me bestie Tutik and me boyfriend Khairul...

No one would understand my parents just like how they both do... I must say a lot of me secrets are with them... Safe with them... I was sent to a kindergarten at Masjid Al-Khair which now stands at CCK but use to be at Teck Whye opposite the most famous Kedai Burungzzz ever... But now what's left of it is just a thick jungle I must say... Shortly after my 3 years of schooling there... I turned 7 and was moved over to Bukit View Primary School....

That was where i had my basics and my most longest period of study in a school 6 years... I got to know many friends there but just when i was about to turn to a teenager I was moved to Dunearn Secondary School.... where I got to know many friends where I mature... Secondary School was fun... Only before the girl fight but after that friends turn foes and we split.... Then came exams and then we waited for the results...

And then I learned that we musn't trust any anyone out in the streets... Even if they are your mum's bestie... Many close to me know about this story... the story that still haunt my life till this very minute...Sad but true...

After our O levels results came out... I told my family I wanted to become a NURSE but of course they banned that job... But I still think Nurses out there you have the most coolest JOB on EArth.... So decided Computer Engineering should be FUN... I strive so hard.. because Engineering as many say is a guy's cup of tea.. but still after 3 years I
finally left the school with a Diploma in Comp Eng...

Now I'm at this stage of life.. The working STAGE... and I'm sort of saving up cause my mum didn't open me a trust fund for school so it's all up to me now.... How I wanna lead this life... I'm now in the mid of saving up, taking bike license and of course thinking of what I should do in life...

Well since everyone know I'm working at a bank... and of course seeing the many digits the customer have in their bank account... Make me wonder... When oh When will I have that many digits in my bank account.... I'm still wondering... But at the meantime I've already started investing in me own Insurance and soon to be my CPF as well... I'm keen to study on investment but it will have to wait until I've money in the bank account... So just a summary of my life... Sweet and simple....

Been AGES since we met up... Remember the last time we met up at Esplanade... We were just talking rubbish from sun up to sun down... Seriously there were just so many things to talk about ah.... Can't stop... Ahh... Miss those days man....
Actually the thing I miss most is our secondary school.... Girl Fights... Dancing... and of course not forgetting Schooling.... These are the few that's quite memorable... Duhh....

Anyways talking about preparation for the birthday party... I'm quite EXCITED with the BIG !!!! hehhe... Earlier there was briefing.. Well our team conduct briefing once every fortnight.. where we will talk about all sort of things and came the question about who will be coming.. I'm know I'm a bit over the top but can't help it lah....

So I'm expecting a full attendance... and a big present horr..... heheh Just Joking.. Foods will be served and guest are expected to arrive before 9pm as the cake cutting thing will be at 9 plus... Of course lah otherwise too late also no point because I'll be Oh-So-Tired... and may I just reconfirm... I have BIG LAZY eyes... Which will just doze off at any time whenever I it gets BORING......

Ahhhhh... Can't wait... I've bought a few accessories to match my outfit the red polka dotty dress of course... Example I just bought 3 pair of ear rings that cost me SGD5.. and also I bought this necklace with the skull thing... So kewl...... Ah.. have an idea I just thought ah instead of having the dress to be long.. Maybe I should cut it and alter to become shorter then can wear jeans inside mah... more comfortable... But the funny thing is I even bought matching panties to go along... Siow right... cheh I know...

I must ensure that no one is more beautiful and outstanding that I am on that party.. So jahat right... hehehe... I like... Bite me.... But wait ah.. aiyah I got no camera man.... Must go and see who got camera to bring... and capture the whole event... It's so gonna be GREAT....

Argghh... I just can't keep my mouth shut sia... But I shan't put my hopes too high otherwise later nobody come I'll just end up weeping... But I know my sweet boyfriend will be with me so... At least if no one comes.. Then I'll not be so bored because I trust my boyfriend completely to keep me company all night long... Baby I love you... See he's face so kuai-kuai right...

My 21st Birthday....

I'll be turning a BIG 2-1 soon...
Can you imagine that.... I've already sibuk-sibuk prepare some stuff...
Like for example... have already bought paper plates, forks n spoons some BBQ stuff.... Well only the dried ones of course lah....

So the 1st night at the CHALET....
Probably will have a few friends on the first day which is on 15/09/06 to help prepare food for the 16/09/06 aka the BIG Day.....

hehehe... so mentel ah just now Me and Fion visited P.Singapura to see see cake... Don't know what cake to get lah... I fall in love with one of the cakes at Bread Talk so cute... But I think for a 21st birthday should the key shaped cake be nicer or the BIG no 2-1 cake look nicer.... Tell me... i need to know...

Actually I can just settle with a small little cake with the number 21 printed on it... Because I'm not very much a cake lover... Unless of course the cake is cokelat and very expensive like those $5 per slice kind lah... Then I tell you I'll just go crayzee.... But was thinking arghh... Forget it lah... It will just go to waste you know... Duh.... not as if they will eat it... then some more have BBq-ed food... Their stomach will just burst....

But one funny thing about me... If I do organize any BBq or parties or anything lah... I'll be the one not eating... Donno why... i will always sibuk-sibuk try to do something stupid or what lah... Then I'll not be the one eating.... Cheh... Sounds like a good time to start dieting and all eh??? Not bad ah.... Good idea.....

Working

I'm sitting in my office with just my portion of the office lights OFF...
So creepy and scary... can you imagine that...

And in this oh so big office there's only 3 of us working... I tell you... I'm oh so so so going to sleep... Tak boleh tahan...

Any ways.. Earlier just now me, Gallen and Azmi were the only night shifters... So being so bored.. We shared riddles... Which of course donno why only mine is funny.... Gallen's question is so need to use brain and think... Azmi so English... have quite a few to share...

At anytime it can only cook 10 satays... Everytime you cook 10 satays you'll spend 5 minutes cooking on each side... aka the front and back...
So the question is how do you cook 30 satays in 15 minutes....

Of course today's my OFF day... So happy lah... But then terkejut beruk in the morning when I receive an SMS from my Boss early in the morning... I was wondering... Why she called me... Many questions starts coming out of my mind... Although I must say I was still half asleep...
1. Oh no she wants me to come back and OT
2. Aiyoh must be one of my unsettled CASE...
3. Ermm... I have no idea what....

But you know curiosity kills the CAT... So i decided since I was never in the wrong.... Called her... So it wasn't number 1 and it wasn't number 2.... But she just wants to ask me If I was willing to change shift with jonathan.... Cheh... See how far my mind wonders... Crazy me..

Anyways talking about work... Poor Betty infected with CHIX POX.... hehehehe... I laughed as loud as a PIG when I got to know about this... Until of course my Boss came to me and ask... What u laughing about.... hehehehe?? Couldn't even answered her straight you know... When she suddenly came from nowhere...

So with respect to that poor little babe who's trying hard enough not to scratch and poke herself with a pin.. I give you Betty Ng... Take care babe... We'll all be waiting to pass you lots of cases when u come back to work.... hehehe... JUST JOKING of course....


So with one less head count for the next 2 weeks and Dayah leaving probably next month... I must say... We're so SHORT -HANDED.... Okay enuf bout work....

Well yeah a CAKE and also SGD400 worth of GOLD which is a pair of Minnie Mouse Earrings and a Minnie Mouse Anklet... So cute... I'm thinking of getting one for myself... Only thing is I HATE GOLD.... Sob sob....

So you don't go taking a train pointing at other's for wearing the same shirt...

Busy working.... Duhh.. What else....

Well not been blogging for quite some time ever since i started my job... Well I must say it's been quite an experience for me working in a quite FAMOUS BANK.... After all it's the "World's Local Bank".... Wei don't go and mispronounce it as The Worst Local Bank ah... But of course if you're too fast you might pronounce it that way....

Ever since I was too busy to blog.... Every night before I go to sleep I make an effort to remember what I did the whole day... Example what I eat, what I bought, what I do at work, who i upset at work... and bla bla bla lah... But mostly of course what I bought lah... Ever since I got stuck on this job.. Been shopping quite often... Thanks to the fact that my working place is located just next to the shopping centre which once use to be so boring....

That reminds me of the time where the YHC members use to go over to PS for Long John's... until so jelak.... and until we also di-gelar REGULARS by one of the manager at Long John which I rarely ever see him since I left YHC.... He is quite HOT... and he remembers me.... kwang kwang kwang... Sempat tau pat counter dia kata I saw you the other time at Tampines what were you doing there... Cheh... Tapi he's HOT enough said lah huh.....

Okay... I shall write about what I've been doing since I just sort of disappear from the blogging world... Well as you see from the picture above I went for a makeover that cost me only SGD95 so cheap right... Thanks to Abg In aka Bee's Cousin... So happy sia... Where can you get such a cheap make over but of course baju pakai sendiri punyer.. I have many other pictures which I will put up very soon for your viewing pleasure.. But of course I will edit first from Photoshop first lah... The fact is I'm still not PERFECT ENOUGH....

Then me and Bee have inherited a "God-Daughter"... Nur Nailee Batrisyia.... So sweet so cute and very naughty... Duh... One-Year-OLDS.... Then of course many more shopping.. Just to inform I've finally bought a Polka-Dotty Red Dress and with my magic fingers manage to alter it and now it fits perfectly... hehehe... and this year itself I've bought 2 Super High heels and need I mention 4 inches... I use to think that I'll go crazy in it but tadaa... I'm walking like a super model now and I can run in heels... But I must say life's been wonderful and happy and everything else at the same time... Cause life is a roller coaster.... And I'll be turning a big 2-1 in 10 days time... Aiyah.. The thought of it... Makes me go round and round... Of course to celebrate this BIG and GREAT occasion I have booked a CHALET in which I shall be celebrating with my Dear ones... Can't wait for that BIG day sia... I do not know what's in store for me but on my birthday in the afternoon I'm going to the THEME park... The one yang kat Pasir Ris tu.... I know I might be a bit too ketinggalan zaman for all these... But blame it on the DEAR BOYFRIEND who always promise promise promise but always lupa lupa lupa....

Pathetic kan dah 21 baru boleh pergi.... But talking bout that I still remember the rides in Genting... So sway go with Auntie all rides she and her daughter too short... so the "Oh-so-tall-one-among-them" got so bored because all the rides we took were kiddy rides... no adventure sia... BORING.. SNORE SNORE....

Must be a long and boring compo huh... But well this is what you do when you're bored at work with nothing to do.... ehem ehem... don't let the manager's know... She is so chopping off my head if she finds out... Okay.... hehehe.. But at night times like this... not so bad lah... not many things to do so I can just hop by and of course type in this super long entry.... hehehe...

I really envy these bloggers nowadays... They really do have the time to you know drop by and update with pictures and everything... I'm such a lazy bum my daily routine are to wake up 2-3 hours before work no matter what my shift is at... Then siap-siap mentel-mentel do my stuff lepas tu siap to work and of course once done with work go home and bobok.... So boring I know... Don't tell me at my face... But what to do... With work you earn money and with money you go shopping to relieve all your work stresses and other problems....

So you don't work you don't get money and without money you won't get to relieve your stress... Then you will accumulate more stresses and for me I'll just go crazy and of course the statements is only true for me and for those who think I'm right... I strictly don't believe that go exercizing do relieve stress... It is so not TRUE.... it makes me more stress knowing that jog jog jog also never loose weight.... Cheh... waste time only... It is so not working for me because I decide to forget about RUNNING years ago... Years ago meaning when I last ran with BURGER RAMLI... heheh...

no lah not one burger running... He's a guy unfortunately named after the famous Ramly Burger... and a one oh so hot guy in the pass... Come to think of it... What was wrong with me he's so UGLY... Urgghhh... I'd rather date a pig.... hehehehe... Teenagers... when you're hip and cool and part of the In-Crowd... you get FANS but once you turn old and grey you turn to RUST... Sad but true...
